    Description

    In partnership with the Australian Defence Force, Ventia are currently seeking Food and Beverage Attendants to perform hospitality & kitchen duties.

    Defence Base Services are located at Victoria Barracks (Southbank) and Defence Plaza (CBD) and we have a number of casual positions available.

    You must be flexible to work across the two locations.

    We do not require experience as full training will be provided with ongoing support therefore if you are passionate about Hospitality and Customer Service or just looking to learn new skills in a great environment, please click the link to apply.

    We operate mainly on a roster based between Mondays and Fridays, with work in the café, bar and assisting with morning teas.

    On offer:

    • We are essential service to Defence; our work does not stop
    • Casual hours may vary between 10-40 hours per week
    • $24.02 casual hourly rate + 25% casual loading
    • Working hours are between 6.30am – 9:00pm

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Support the Hospitality and Catering team by consistently delivering a friendly, helpful, and professional service to all customers
    • Clean, sanitise and maintain equipment, furniture, and premises, ensuring all required repairs and maintenance are reported
    • Assist with basic food preparation, as requested by the Head Chef

    What you'll need to be successful:

    • Reliable and punctual
    • A positive attitude

    What we'll help you with:

    • Assist in getting you an RSA (Responsible service of Alcohol).
    • Assist in getting your food Handlers certificate

    You must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to maintain a Defence clearance in order to be eligible for these positions, as well as be able to pass an Australian Federal Police Check.
