    Project Director | Location - DARWIN | Contract - 12 months + extension

    About the Client:

    The organisation specialises in delivering highly complex, high-value, and potentially high-risk ICT programs and multi-year digital transformation initiatives for core frontline services through an inter-agency collaborative approach.

    Additionally, they provide a range of project management services to support agency businesses.
    The work environment is characterised by competing priorities, multiple stakeholders, and tight delivery timeframes.

    Scope of Works:
    The resource will oversee the management and delivery of complex business systems projects, emphasising solution design, delivery, and implementation.

    Responsibilities include leading a project team, collaborating closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts to fulfill business requirements and priorities, and ensuring solutions align with human-centered principles.

    This role demands a strategic thinker capable of driving change and motivating cross-functional teams to achieve outstanding results.

    Essential Skills and Experience:
    Proven success in leading multi-year, multi-million dollar IT projects within complex enterprise settings.
    Extensive project management expertise, focusing on governance, planning, risk management, and issue resolution.
    Advocate for human-centered design principles, ensuring solutions meet user needs and align with stakeholder requirements.
    Strong leadership and change management abilities, adept at guiding end-to-end delivery of complex business system projects.
    Proficiency in gathering, analyzing, and coordinating business requirements.
    Excellent communication and facilitation skills, fostering team collaboration and stakeholder engagement at all levels.
    Track record of building, managing, and inspiring high-performing teams to achieve customer-focused outcomes.
    Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    Demonstrated resilience and self-discipline.
    Familiarity with PRINCE2 project management methodology preferred.
    Formal qualifications in Project Management, IT, or related field.

    Desirable Qualities:
    Previous experience or knowledge of the Education sector.
