    You will specialize in managing litigation matters, including civil, commercial, and sometimes criminal litigation, while providing accurate legal advice and advocating for your client's best interests.

    Job ResponsibilitiesLegal Advice:
    Provide comprehensive legal advice to clients on various litigation matters, ensuring that clients are well-informed of their legal options

    Case Management:
    Manage a caseload of litigation matters from initial instruction through to resolution, including civil, commercial, and occasional criminal litigation cases

    Court Representation:
    Represent clients in court hearings, tribunals, mediations, and arbitrations, effectively advocating for their interests and presenting compelling arguments

    Legal Document Preparation:
    Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, statements of claim, defense statements, discovery documents, and briefs to Counsel, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements

    Due Diligence:
    Conduct due diligence investigations to ensure all necessary information is gathered and analyzed thoroughly, enhancing the effectiveness of litigation strategies

    Dispute Resolution:
    Explore opportunities for resolving disputes outside of court through negotiation, mediation, or alternative dispute resolution methods, striving for cost-effective solutions

    Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensure strict adherence to all legal regulations, professional standards, and ethical guidelines pertinent to litigation

    Client Relations :
    Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on case developments, addressing their concerns, and ensuring clear and effective communication in both English and Chinese Cantonese

    Legal Research:

    Stay current with changes in family law regulations and precedents, conducting legal research to support case strategies that are sensitive to the needs of bilingual clients.

    RequirementsBachelor's degree in Law from an accredited institution.
    Admitted to practice law in Queensland and a member in good standing with the Queensland Law Society.
    A minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing family lawyer, specializing in family law matters.
    Proficiency in both English and Chinese Cantonese languages, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
    Strong understanding of Australian family law regulations and procedures.
    Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills, with the ability to navigate cultural nuances.
    Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload effectively, with great attention to detail.
    Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds, especially Chinese Cantonese-speaking clients.
