    Join us as Logistics Manager for the Smart Power Division in Electrification Business Area where you will be executing distribution and logistics activities for inbound and outbound shipments, both domestic and exports. Managing inventory and stocking levels, developing, implementing, maintaining, and reviewing, procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, record, and dispatch goods in the Australian Distribution Centre. Reporting to Sales Operations Manager and this position will be based in Moore bank, Australia.

    Your responsibilities

    • Managing ABB Australia's Electrification business Logistics and Distribution Center, servicing both the Australian and New Zealand markets for Smart Building and Smart Power products. (Including E-Mobility and Power Protection Products). (Also supporting our APAC region with shipments to Singapore).
    • Establishing, executing, monitoring, and reviewing operations including, storage and distribution strategies to ensure alignment with the organizational strategies and policies
    • Working with relevant teams to Implement plans and strategising to maintain optimal inventory levels in the Australian Distribution Center (ADC) to meet the supply requirements for our customers and distribution partners.
    • Managing the relationship with freight forwarders, equipment providers and suppliers to optimize the spend and negotiate savings for transport and logistics, equipment rental, leasing, hire or purchase and any other operational purchasing or servicing requirements
    • Leading, motivating, organizing, and encouraging teamwork within the Australian Distribution Centre (ADC) to ensure set productivity and Key Performance Indication (KPI) targets are met.Managing any projects related to the ABB Australian Distribution Centre (ADC) and logistics. This includes the closure, relocation, redesign, or new design for any facilities linked to the ADC
    • Preparing and implementing plans to enhance operations and efficiency in the Australian Distribution Center (ADC). Optimizing warehouse capacity, inventory, and storage. Preparing and implementing measures to improve quality of service, increasing efficiency of the distribution center, the team and equipment performance. Managing the logistics and Distribution Center in line with ISO Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards and ensuring objectives are met
    • Completing Safety Observation Tours (SOT's) and raises hazards accordingly. Leading the team with safety and quality being the priority.Ensuring the regular maintenance of equipment and facilities and all required servicing is managed. Identifying and recommending technical equipment and facility improvements as necessary.
    • Establishing or adjusts work procedures to meet distribution center demands as dictated by workflow. Developing and maintains departmental work instructions, processes, or procedures for all tasks

    Your background

    • Tertiary qualification with minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, distribution, and warehousing
    • Experience in emergency lighting, low voltage switchgear, power protection (UPS), electric vehicle (EV) charging and building automation products, handling, storage, and shipping requirements
    • SAP and Microsoft Office experience
