    Gold Fields is a globally diversified gold producer with nine operating mines in Australia, South Africa, Ghana, Peru, Canada and Chile.

    Gold Fields' mining assets in the Australia region (GFA) include a 100% interest in the St Ives, Agnew and Granny Smith mines and a 50:50 interest in the Gruyere JV project with Gold Road Resources.

    St Ives Gold Mine is located 20km south-east of Kambalda and approximately 80 km south of Kalgoorlie. It is comprised of both open pit and underground operations and produces over 350,000 ounces of gold per annum.

    Reporting to the Manager: business Improvement at St Ives, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of improvement programs, activities and methodologies consistent with the site and Regional program. Coach Line Management and Change Leaders to achieve improved efficiency, costs and productivity while providing hands on leadership of improvement projects.

    This role can be offered as residential in Kambalda/Kalgoorlie or surrounds on a 5 days on 2 days off, 4 days on 3 days off roster OR fly in fly out from Perth on an 8 days on 6 days off roster.

    About the role:

    Install the Management Operating System in conjunction with area leads and oversees the utilisation and auditing of the process;

    Cofacilitate Business Improvement (BI) Learning sessions, providing coaching to area based Change Leaders and their sponsors;

    Contribute to Site Business Process Review activities and Business Planning sessions;

    Facilitate projects from the pipeline to meet the Business Plan;

    Embed in the Department as the BI Subject Matter Expert and internal consultant;

    Apply visible leadership and change methods at the Project and Department level;

    Provide input into the communication and change strategy for each BI initiative;

    Lead and coach problem solving activities applying different methodologies including statistical process analysis and control.

    About you:

    Formal tertiary qualifications in business, science, technical or commercial/financial based disciplines

    Ideally Six Sigma (Black Belt or Green Belt) trained

    Ideally Lean Manufacturing or similar training

    Prior experience in a Business Improvement role in a mining environment or other heavy industry

    Proven experience with influencing people and facilitating improvement initiatives and training sessions

    Valid manual Drivers Licence
