    The role:

    In the role of Maintenance Supervisor, you will be a part of a team of 40 and supervising teams of up to 20, depending on resource allocation and operational needs. You will lead and manage daily maintenance operations - this includes managing resources & processes across preventative maintenance, breakdowns, fabrication and machining of spare parts and spare parts inventory across 24 hours a day operation.

    Hours: Your roster will be across 5 days, typically, and shifts between 4:30am and 8:30pm (depending on morning or afternoon shift) and one Saturday per month. Some late shift and weekend work may be required including work over shutdowns as required.

    Your key responsibilities are, but not limited to:

    • Promoting and leading a positive safe work program in line with the Company's Work, health and safety program within maintenance and associated areas.
    • Maintenance operations, Asset management and Asset care.
    • Reducing downtime and identifying key areas of downtime and how this can be improved.
    • Budgeting and cost reduction.
    • Quality and Food Safety Compliance.
    • Ensuring the continual investment and training in team members
    • Planning, supervising, coordinating, scheduling, and assigning all work requirements associated with preventative maintenance, projects, and day-to-day work orders in maintenance and associated areas
    • Performing periodic inspections of equipment and systems to observe operating condition and need for repair or adjustment
    • Demonstrating and commitment to people and food safety

    Skills and experience required:

    • Previous experience within the food industry is highly regarded
    • Strong planning and organizing skills
    • Strong results-oriented day to day management skills
    • Ability to organize, multitask, prioritise, and work under pressure.
    • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise.
    • Ability to develop, formulate strategy and exercise good judgment
    • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
    • Adaptable to establish themselves within a new and challenging environment
