    About the role You will be managing a motivated and high performing Project Delivery Team.

    Based in our Brisbane office and reporting to the Project Delivery Manager, the Project Controls Manager works closely with our Project Managers & Engineers to implement sensible, honest and robust Project Controls methodologies for project planning, execution, reporting and change control, in line with Client and Business stakeholder expectations.

    This is a critical role in a growing business where continuous improvement and innovative ideas are encouraged and acted on.

    As the Project Controls Manager, you will: Functional direction of Project Controls activities in line with approved plans, policies & procedures, including management of Project Controls Team Assist with maintenance of the Project Controls systems, tools & procedures Planning, execution, monitoring and control of portfolio and project costs and schedules Plan, implement and manage Project Cost Control systems Plan, implement and manage Project Schedule Provide regular and accurate reports to Project Managers, the Project Delivery Manager, and other internal & external business stakeholders Assist with the East Business Unit financial processes, such as preparation of annual budgets, monthly financial analysis, and invoicing Provide guidance and leadership to others within the Project Delivery team, and to Project Managers regarding Project Controls systems, procedures and practices The Person You will be a highly self-motivated individual, ideally with strong commercial experience in a Project Delivery environment (ideally Engineering & Design, nominally 10+ years' experience) and bring to the role: Self-starter, capable of efficiently understanding and assessing a task and integrating into operational or project teams, thereon able to work independently to satisfy project requirements & deliver to Business Unit requirements Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from day-to-day work, and requiring engagement of multiple stakeholders Ability to analyse complex problems, identify critical issues and develop strategies for delivering solutions Experience in planning, scheduling, and monitoring projects Experience in implementing & maintaining cost control and progress measurement systems Highly developed communication, team, and interpersonal skills Sound time and task management skills High level of attention to detail, and able to undertake activities and produce deliverables to a high standard, commensurate with Business requirements and industry standards Proven ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight timeframes The new Verbrec brand represents our evolution and continued growth by leveraging emerging techniques and technologies for the benefit of our clients.
