    Description

    At Job2Go Pty Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled Indian Cuisine Head Cook to join our team in Caroline Springs VIC 3023. This is a full-time position with an estimated salary of $72,500 per annum.

    About the Role

    This role involves overseeing the preparation and cooking of high-quality food according to menu guidelines and recipes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all food is produced within budget requirements, minimising waste and costs. They will also ensure that hygiene standards are maintained at a sufficiently high level and an approved food safety plan is implemented.

    The ideal candidate will have at least two (2) years of relevant experience as a Chef and prior experience preparing Indian Cuisine. A Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery, along with an Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Hospitality, is also required.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Food Preparation: Ensure that all food is prepared to a consistently high standard.
    • Menu Completion: Complete and deliver menu items ensuring customer satisfaction.
    • Budget Management: Ensure all food is produced within budget requirements: minimising waste and costs.
    • Hygiene Standards: Maintain hygiene standards at a sufficiently high level and implement an approved food safety plan.
    • Kitchen Equipment: Monitor and maintain all kitchen equipment in correct operating order.
    • Team Supervision: Supervise members of the kitchen team who are responsible to you.
    • Communication: Help to create good communication between floor and kitchen staff.
    • Safety Practices: Follow correct hygienic food handling practices and use safe work practices.

    Requirements

    • A Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery.
    • An Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Hospitality.
    • At least two (2) years of relevant experience as a Chef.
    • Prior experience preparing Indian Cuisine.
