    Who you are?

    We are seeking applicants for the position of a Project Metallurgist at Bureau Veritas Minerals' Perth Mineral Processing Laboratory at Gauge Circuit in Canning Vale, WA. The position will entail providing Metallurgical Test-work Management for clients from across the world, and for a range of commodities.

    As a Project Metallurgist, some of your tasks will be, but not limited to:

    • Full compliance to Company QHSE requirements.
    • Managing test-work projects, including coordinating work programs with junior metallurgists and technicians, both at laboratory and pilot scale.
    • Liaising with clients to meet their test-work needs, providing regular feedback on test-work progress, technical input and analysis, and preparation of test-work reports.
    • Assisting with sales and marketing activities, such as quotations, input with promotional materials, client visits and technical presentations as required.

    What you will bring to the role?

    • A tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemistry or equivalent.
    • Experience in a minerals testing laboratory or a mining processing operation.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead by example. Provide leadership in QHSE systems and behaviour.
    • Demonstrated technical competency and ability. Be highly motivated, and passionate about metallurgical test work.
    • Good planning, prioritising and organisational skills.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
    • Behavioural judgement, initiative and maturity.

    What is the roster:

    • Monday to Friday roster – Day and Afternoon Shifts

    Please note that as part of the recruitment process you must be able to pass a medical which includes a drug and alcohol test.
