    Your Role at St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital

    We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Enrolled Nurses with recent hospital experience to join our friendly and approachable Endoscopy team.

    You will be responsible for the provision of a high standard of patient care in a safe and effective manner. You will experience different aspects of the entire Endoscopy patient journey, which is both exciting and extremely rewarding within a fast-paced environment.

    The Position

    • Practice in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia.
    • Maintain and develop clinical skills within the Endoscopy nurse role.
    • Undertake admission of the Endoscopy patient to know the nursing and medical history of allocated patients.
    • Under supervision of a Registered Nurse, deliver nursing care to allocated patients.
    • Document patients' care and progress during recovery from sedation according to hospital policies and standards.
    • Report information regarding patients to appropriate personnel.
    • Participate as a team member in caring for and educating patients.
    • Work alongside our VMOs within the procedure room assisting with patient care and monitoring throughout the procedure.

    You will have the ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a dynamic health care team, possess effective written and verbal communication skills and you will have a commitment to ongoing professional education. In addition, you will possess the ability to problem solve or seek help from appropriate resources and the aptitude to implement care plans under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

    To succeed you will hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse. Previous experience in Endoscopy or Day Surgery is preferred, but not essential for this position.

    • Salary: $67,798.41 to $72, pro-rata for part-time) + 11% superannuation
    • Permanent part time positions available, working 50 hours per fortnight, Monday to Saturday.
