    2 roles - 1 x 6months 1x 9monthsThe Travel Officer responsibilities will include:Provide travel policy advice and technical expertise based on Whole of Australian Government (Wo AG) and department policies and legislation on domestic travel, international travel, and travel acquittals.

    Provide high level advice from the Travel Policy and the Travel Regulation manual to travellers.
    Preparation of travel data for monthly reports and other ad hoc reports as requested.
    Develop and regularly review work instructions for travel processes and procedures.

    Actively review and update the travel intranet pages and prepare business bulletins to advise of any changes to the department.

    Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
    Respond to travel queries via the shared inbox and helpdesk phone.
    Assist Team leader and Assistant director in the preparation of quarterly Briefs and Questions on Notice.
    Contribute to business planning and business improvements.
    Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as required.
    Assist the Concur and Credit Card Team with administrative tasks as required.
    General administration on internal and external systems such as Concur, CTM, Tech One and Travel Pack.

    Knowledge and ExperienceHave a good understanding of the Whole of Government Travel Service Arrangements.
    Experience in using expense management and finance management system such as Concur and Tech One.
    Experience in travel management system such as CTM, Visalink and Travel Pack.
    Experience in MS Word, Excel and data analysis
    Skills and CapabilitiesStrong administrative and organisational skills
    Strong written and verbal communication skills
    Ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
    Ability to work independently or under limited guidance and respond effectively to change
