    About the Role:

    As an Administration Officer (After Hours), you will play a vital part in providing essential administrative support to our wards.

    You will address enquiries, offer information and assistance to staff, patients and visitors to ensure efficient service delivery within the hospital environment. You will also support nursing and medical staff by coordinating all patient movements, contributing to smooth patient flow.

    Description:

    The Rockhampton Hospital, a 305-bed facility and the main referral centre for CQ, offers integrated cancer care in a newly built, state-of-the-art facility. It serves as a hub for patients from surrounding hospitals like Gladstone and Emerald.

    • Respond to general reception enquiries on the ward by answering all incoming telephone calls and ensuring accurate transfer of messages and information to support patients and staff.
    • Assist and direct visitors by accessing patient information and providing an effective and courteous front counter service.
    • Coordinate patient discharges and transfers through timely preparation of all required paperwork, transport and updating of hospital information systems.
    • Prioritise workload effectively and perform duties responsibly in the absence of supervision.

    A competitive total remuneration package is comprised of:

    • An hourly rate between $38.81 - $43.16 p.h.
    • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
    • 17.5% leave loading
