Job Description

We are currently searching for skilled Behavior Support Practitioner to become part of our team in Geelong as a Team Leader. Join an organization that prioritizes employee well-being as much as client care.

At Ability Action Australia - Victoria, we have a growing team of over 50 Behavior Support Practitioners statewide. We provide comprehensive support at every stage - from Suitable to Specialist levels. In this role as an experienced Behavior Support Practitioner - Team Leader, some of your key responsibilities will include:

Supporting our PBS Clinical Lead and leadership team to ensure adherence to legislative requirements
Providing mentorship and fostering collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team
Helping participants and their families identify needs through a personalized approach in community settings
Creating and delivering behavior support services in alignment with NDIS safeguards framework, especially concerning restrictive practices
Ensuring individual plans align with participants' objectives, interests, and strengths, ultimately enhancing their quality of life

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years' experience in positive Behavior Support development and implementation
Relevant allied health or social care qualification and eligibility for registration with the appropriate professional body
NDIS Quality & Safeguarding Commission registration as a Proficient, Advanced, or Specialist Behavior Support Practitioner
Hands-on experience delivering NDIS services
Demonstrated leadership in the field, delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
National police clearance and working with children check (or the ability to obtain)
Registration with the relevant professional body
Experience in providing team training and supervision
