    The Financial Services Group (FSG) segment specialises in the provision of Aon client service delivery to large and complex clients, generally serving the top 500 public and private companies in Australia, including large government clients.

    Client Manager – Fintech and Digital Economy, FSG National

    This role is a client management and financial lines broking role, that is both industry specific but also part of the broader FSG National team.

    The role is both strategic and client focused. You will be responsible for supporting the Head of Fintech and Digital Economy with executing on strategic growth activities within the dedicated industry practice group and contributing to the overall FSG National strategy.

    This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Aon Sydney offices.

    What the day will look like

    You will be responsible for proactively managing a portfolio of financial institutions, technology and mid-market complex placements, including the strategic management of client relationships at a broker level:

    • Collaborating with the Client Director and Industry Practice Group members to enhance the client experience and grow the industry portfolio
    • Support segment and industry practice group strategies alongside the National leadership team
    • Support the Client Director in delivering a client-centric, cross solution line approach to servicing clients
    • Working in conjunction with key stakeholders to contribute to the strategic direction of Aon's Fintech and Digital Economy portfolio
    • Supporting and mentoring junior team and industry practice group members
    • Work alongside Client Director and Sales team with business development opportunities, including policy wording health-checks, technical and claims commentary in tenders and involvement in new business presentations
    • Designing appropriate servicing and risk management solutions
    • Identifying revenue enhancement opportunities within the designated portfolio
    • Continual business development within new and existing accounts to cross-sell the full spectrum of Aon services
    • Providing market insights and placement strategies to clients and colleagues
    • Managing essential interface with Client Service Support, Claims and Broking team

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

    • Financial Lines broking or underwriting background
    • Experience managing your own client portfolio or ability to demonstrate your consultancy capabilities
    • First-class communication, report writing and presentation skills
    • An innovative and collaborative approach, with a team player attitude
    • A strong pro-active, resourceful and persistent approach to business development
    • Drive and passion to succeed and develop as an individual
    • You would need to become Tier 1 compliant
    • Fintech and Technology financial lines placement experience is strongly preferred
