    Overview

    The LAND 200-3 Quality Manager is responsible for:
    - Accomplishing quality management objectives, as agreed with the Project Office Team Manager by monitoring, reviewing, and enforcing policies and procedures.
    - Delivering quality management outcomes that comply with relevant legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks.
    - Coaching and mentoring relevant project areas in their quality management responsibilities and accountabilities.
    - Training and motivating employees to ensure that quality standards are met.
    - Applying knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and Defence policies and procedures to ensure that any analysis is relevant in the quality assurance context.
    - Contributing quality management expertise to strategic planning, program and project management or policy development for the project, providing advice on quality innovation and improvement.
    - Working individually or collaboratively to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
    - Effectively communicating insights derived from analysis to support decision making.
    - Resolving problems and taking the initiative to identify alternative courses of action.
    - Working collaboratively, developing and maintaining beneficial, effective relationships with the customer, colleagues and other stakeholders.
    The position reports to the Project Office Manager, and provides subject matter support to the Project Director, Project Managers and the Commercial Manager.

    Experience/Skills Sought
    As the Quality Manager you are a business management professional who works effectively in a complex environment, thinks critically, and applies problem-solving skills. You will manage competing priorities with a focus on mitigating risks for acquisition and adoption of new technologies in a challenging environment.

    You are highly organised, energetic, self-motivated, able to work with limited guidance and are outcome orientated with excellent communication skills.

    The successful candidate must ideally be able to demonstrate:
    - Previous or current experience in a quality management role in a Department of Defence or defence industry environment.
    - The ability to ensure ongoing compliance in support of the CASG ISO 9001:2015 certification.
    - Experience working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team including building team capability through coaching, feedback and developing the quality of work undertaken by others within a work unit.
    - Experience working within a project or business team, implementing and using standard procedures and practices to:
    - Implement and operate/supervise a lessons learned scheme to inform and educate project team members and where appropriate, wider audiences.
    - Implement and operate/supervise a continuous improvement scheme to drive the introduction of a quality improvement culture.
    - Develop and document business processes using a recognised business process methodology such as Integration Definition (IDEF) or Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN).
    - Develop and execute an internal audit plan as part of the introduction of a continuous improvement culture.
    - Ability to draft and prepare briefs, complex correspondence, reports and submissions for board/committee consideration on project status in accordance with organisational requirements.
    - Ability to demonstrate initiative, creativity and responsibility to help create a controllable environment for a complex integration project with limited guidance.
    - Experience working in complex and challenging environments with a complex system of stakeholders.
    - Ability to prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends.
    - Ability to analyse, design, plan, execute, and evaluate work to time, cost and quality targets while assessing and evaluating risk.
    - Highly effective, formal and informal communication skills including advanced technical writing skills.
