Job Description

This role is part of the Product Engineering and Technology team responsible for Commercial (Sales & Revenue), Data and Broadcast IT systems.

This role will be initially focused within the Commercial area of business with future opportunities to work across other areas as new initiatives are prioritised. Commercial are focused on several areas that drive the core advertising revenue for the Nine business across digital and linear. This is includes:

Customer relationship management

Sales and inventory management

Campaign and inventory optimisation

Programming and Rights management

The overall purpose of this team is to drive optimisation and efficiency for Sales at Nine. Commercial Products is a Product & Technology team that delivers an industry leading sales and traffic system which facilitates sales enablement for Australia's biggest media company. We help Nine Advertising Sales drive efficiencies with campaign planning, executing campaigns, and transaction transparency – so that we can maximise revenues across the Nine Entertainment portfolio and remain the number one choice for advertisers.

Role responsibilities

Defining end to end solution, recommending to the appropriate architecture forum and technology director for approval.

The solution is defined as all aspects of technology including infrastructure, networks, security, platforms, support operations and applications.

Ensure the solution is fit for purpose across the defined business, technical and commercial dimensions.

Be point of contact for technical clarifications and work with the relevant internal Engineering teams and 3rd Party platform providers for any detailed input.

Document the Solutions Architecture and maintain the vision for the solution throughout the course of implementation.

Work with the engineering and vendor teams to help solve solution problems as they arise through delivery whilst maintaining the target solution that has been defined.

Work with the Business/Technical Analyst to ensure all relevant requirements have been captured to help develop the solution.

The Analyst is responsible for all requirements, process and data flow capture. What data flows between systems is the analysts' responsibility, how the data flows is up to the Solutions Architect to define.

This is a technology leadership role so will support and coach other engineering or technical roles as it relates to the domain of expertise.

Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including Product Engineering, Cyber Security, IT, Support operations, Sales, Finance and other relevant departments

Experience with large scale transactional system implementations

Experience with cloud and on premise based end to end solution integrations

Experience in RFPs and product recommendation processes

Product and cost analysis and recommendations

Nice to have:

Experience within the domain of Sales and CRM related systems
