Tattersalls Boutique Hotel Armidale, a heritage-listed luxury hotel in the heart of the New England High Country, is seeking a F&B Ops Manager to oversee the daily operations of our food and beverage service. From our elegant dining room to our bustling cocktail bar and lounge, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering the high standards that define the Tattersalls experience.
About the Role
As F&B Ops Manager, you will be responsible for leading our front-of-house team across the restaurant, bar, and event spaces. You'll manage daily service operations, maintain quality standards, and ensure guests receive impeccable and seamless hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurant, bar, and in-room dining
- Lead, train, and roster a team of front-of-house staff, including waitstaff and bartenders
- Drive service excellence and ensure a consistently high level of guest satisfaction
- Monitor floor operations during service, responding to guest needs and resolving issues swiftly
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and General Manager to coordinate menu updates, service standards, and event requirements with our event coordinator
- Manage bookings, table allocations, and function coordination
- Ensure compliance with RSA, hygiene, and OH&S regulations
- Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and ambience across all guest-facing areas
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2-4 years' experience in a similar leadership role within a high-end restaurant, hotel, or luxury venue
- Proven leadership skills, ability to train, mentor, manage and motivate a service team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service standards
- Analyse financial reports, forecasts, and KPIs to drive profitability
Manage staffing levels, rostering, labour and beverage costs to meet budget targets
- Hands-on management style with a "lead by example" attitude
- Immaculate personal presentation and professional communication skills
- Experience with POS and reservation systems
- Current RSA certification
- Food Handler/Supervisor certificate
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
