    MMG's Melbourne headquarters seeks a Head of Tailing and Water to join the Operations and Technical Excellence Team, reporting to the General Manager Asset Management and Support. This role is instrumental in supervising the management, operations, and strategic course of tailings facilities across MMG's global operational spectrum.

    The role mandates deep specialized proficiency in all facets of the tailings facility, surface, and groundwater modeling and management to ensure:

    • The optimization and management of tailings storage facilities (TSF) for operational assets and project studies to meet HSEC and technical standards.
    • The optimization of water management systems and infrastructure in operational assets to align with the business plan.
    • The delivery of technical due diligence on tailings and water management matters to support project studies, independent reviews, and M&A assessments.

    The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Engineering or Science within a relevant Tailings discipline or a related qualification. This position necessitates a blend of technical proficiency in mining and environmental engineering, robust leadership abilities, and a profound dedication to safety, environmental responsibility, and community involvement.

    You are recognized for your meticulousness and your advanced capacity to engage with a diverse array of internal and external stakeholders from varying backgrounds. This role involves effectively managing communication activities across different sectors within the business.
