    Job Description

    About the role

    The Data Specialist will lead the development and implementation of data and analytics related technologies in line with the Data Science Roadmap and the ATSICHS Strategic Plan. The Data Specialist will be responsible for leading the design, development and maintenance of data systems, infrastructure, visualisations and reporting within the Data Science Roadmap and overall data environment at ATSICHS Brisbane.

    Duties

    • Provide consistent approach to Business Analysis.
    • Directly Contribute to the success of the Data Science Strategic Roadmap.
    • Coordinate multiple projects and activities against deadlines and aim to ensure that project outcomes meet or exceed the expectations while remaining cost effective.
    • Commit to a high level of quality management for ATSICHS through use of LogiQC quality management systems.
    • Cultivate productive working relationships at all levels, which support the nurturing of internal and external relationships, facilitates cooperation, trust and respect, values differences and diversity and guides, mentors and focuses on the development of staff.

    • Starting annual salary of $93,965 (depending on qualifications and experience).
    • 11% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (Increases your take home pay).

    Desired Skills and Experience

    COVID-19 Requirement

    • Immunisation history showing you have received two doses of a Covid -19 vaccine is encouraged.

    Required:

    • Bachelor qualification in Information Technology/Data Science/Business or relevant experience.
    • Minimum three (3) years' experience in a similar data specialist role.
    • Demonstrated experience in leading data development initiatives.
    • Proficient in working within a Data environment, including ETL processes on Azure and AWS, as well as managing data warehouses and data lakes.
    • Experience working with business intelligence tools including Power BI.
    • Understanding of SQL/Python languages.
    • Experience developing and working with database schemas.
    • Demonstrated experience in managing projects.
    • Decisive listening, influencing and persuasive skills.
    • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
    • Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply.
    • Valid Police Check.

    Preferred:

    • Driver's license.
    • Microsoft 365 and Azure experience.
    • Working with webhooks and restful API.
    • Experience with DAX and Power query.
