    Where the team fits in

    As part of the Trust Experience Squad in Consumer, we are seeking a talented mid-level iOS developer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of REA's privacy evolution (part of Program Propel) working across our experiences.

  • Collaborate with our cross-functional team to implement our robust privacy goals.
  • Contribute to the overall technical solution design and product direction
  • Learn and teach - we are constantly learning together, mentoring each other and striving to do things better.
  • Work with other teams in the business to deliver shared goals and outcomes
  • What the role is all about

  • Contributing to Privacy native initiatives in the Trust Experience squad by design, developing, and testing, and deploying high-quality iOS applications
  • Supporting the Delivery Lead on planning and tracking progress and quality.
  • Supporting an after-hours on-call roster
  • Engaging with the wider native community across the organisation, identifying opportunities to share and learn
  • An appreciation of software engineering principles and a can-do attitude with an ability to own problems and see things through.
  • Who we're looking for

  • Demonstrated experience in software engineering using Swift. Kotlin is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience with platform APIs and UI toolkits on iOS such as SwiftUI, UIKit and Foundation APIs
  • A passion for iOS and an intrigue in Android
  • An interest in the privacy domain
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional team members
  • Communicate technical concepts and challenges to non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software design patterns and best practices for software development
  • Demonstrated experience using common testing practices
  • Demonstrated understanding of common mobile application architectures
  • Active contribution to technical decision-making process
  • Looks at tricky situations through a solutions-focused lens
  • Coaching less experienced members
  • Work productively in a fast paced and agile environment - #gsd (urban dictionary will help on this one)
