Parts Interpreter – Volvo CE and SDLG

CJD Equipment has a fantastic opportunity for a Parts Interpreter to join our team in the Newcastle Branch

This opportunity will allow you to further develop your career in Parts Interpreting, gaining experience with world-class products such as Volvo CE and SDLG. You will form a critical part of the team, responsible for providing professional service to customers and workshop employees in identifying, sourcing, and selling of parts.

A day on the job will see you:

• Use company and manufacturer systems to identify, source and sell spare parts
• Ensure timely supply of parts through the procurement, receival and dispatch process
• Prepare invoices and other finance arrangements for the sale of stock
• Develop, recommend and implement improvements in the administrative procedures and routines for the retail parts counter and the warehouse to improve productivity, quality and cost efficiency
• Maintain regular contact with customers and internal departments in order to meet, develop and exceed expectations
• Participate in stocktaking activities
• Manage the customer and supplier return stock processes in accordance with company guidelines
• Communicate effectively in both written and verbal form across all levels of the business as well as with third parties of the business
• Identify and solve problems, where appropriate, introduce new and improved processes
• Assist in promoting a culture of team collaboration

Your application will go to the top of our shortlist you have:

• Current Australian driver's licence
• Experience working in stores or warehousing, or alternatively workshops, within the heavy industries sector. You might be a Store Person, Tradie or Trades Assistant who is ready for a change of scenery.
• Bucketloads of drive, energy, and autonomy, with a can-do attitude. You go the distance to deliver excellence to internal and external customers.
• You can pass a medical and drug & alcohol test with your eyes closed (but not literally because it includes an eye test).
• Charismatic personality, with the ability to get on the good side of your manager, team, customers, suppliers and colleagues at all levels.
• We know this goes without saying, but just in case you thought we forgot ... pretty decent computing skills.
