    Role Description/Criteria

    Administrative Assistant – First Aid/Reception

    Catholic Regional College North Keilor, a Year 7 – 10 secondary College is seeking a suitably qualified and highly enthusiastic Administrative Assistant who is passionate about providing excellent customer service. This role is responsible for all First Aid matters at the College as well as assisting with Reception administration. This is for a full-time fixed term contract for the remainder of the 2024 school year.

    Key duties and responsibilities:

    We are seeking a professional and approachable Administrative Assistant to support our team in the delivery of high-level customer service to our internal and external stakeholders, this includes but is not limited to -

    • Act as primary coordinator of first aid response to students, staff and visitors to the College. Applying first aid principles this role will provide the necessary care for students, staff and visitors when dealing with an injury or illness.
    • Act as first point of contact for visitors, staff and students to the College by attending to front counter and telephone enquiries
    • Provision of generalist administrative support for various Front Office functions
    • Be a part of a Team oriented and supportive environment

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, i.e. good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with children, parents and the school community, and any other visitors in a professional manner
    • Self-motivation, initiative and flexibility, with the ability to respond to the changing demands of the position.
    • Discretion and an ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
    • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders
    • Proven time-management skills; ability to work to tight timelines and manage tasks with minimal supervision
    • Proven capacity to work independently but also possess the ability to work as part of a team
    • Empathy and cultural awareness
    • Clear decision-making skills and good judgement.
    • Reliability and punctuality.
    • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
    • A capacity and genuine desire to learn and apply new skills.

    Key Qualifications/Certifications

    • Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
    • Experience in busy reception environment
    • Proficient in working with the Microsoft Office suite, in particular Outlook, Word and Excel, with well-developed word processing and data entry skills
    • A satisfactory Working with Children Check and National Criminal History Check
    • Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship
