    About the role

    As our Quality Governance Consultant - wounds, you will work closely with the Quality team to set and assure a high standard of professional practice through the implementation of wound and skin integrity projects, contributing to policy and practice development plus audit and evaluation processes.

    You will work as part of our Wellness Hubs completing telehealth reviews and holistic assessments of complex and chronic wounds for our residents in collaboration with the care home teams.

    In this role you will have the opportunity to
    Contribute Wound subject matter expertise to ensure that our Quality Management systems align with contemporary best practice.
    In collaboration with the Quality Education Consultant and Quality Partners, Clinical Business Analysts and Regional Managers support an effective program for the ongoing monitoring, evaluation and risk identification of all compliance risks including high impact, high prevalence clinical risk;
    Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical policies and governance activities which support continuous quality improvement in the delivery of safe, effective and person-centered care and services;
    Review, analyse and create reports to identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency in clinical systems.

    Ensure that clinical assessment, care planning and clinical documentation and processes are consistent with evidence-based practice in our Clinical Systems.

    Work within your designated portfolio (Wound Consultant, Infection control/IPC lead, Insights and Analytics, Governance)

    In addition you will contribute in other areas:
    Quality Improvement

    Manage system issues & tickets and enhancements, including taking direct action to progress closure of issues that arise during the testing stages.

    Provide advice, and analysis within area/s of expertise on our Quality Management System and Clinical systems.
    Support and work with the broader Quality team and Care Homes in the development and delivery of evidence-based contemporary clinical practice, especially skin integrity and wound management;
    Support an effective program for continuous improvement at the care home level which monitors, evaluates and reports on the homes' Plan for Continuous Improvement (PCI);
    Relationship Building
    Develop strong trusted relationships with key BVAC and Technology Stakeholders and seek regular feedback.
    Develop strong trusted relationships with Vendors, and external stakeholders including Prescribers, Allied Health professionals and Pharmacies.
    Develop a collaborative and supportive team spirit that works together to achieve the business outcomes across BVAC.
    Change Management
    Function as an implementation expert, assisting local project teams to implement a successful solution based on clinical experience, product knowledge to actively manage issues and lessons learnt from prior projects
    Support projects by undertaking analysis and impact assessments including testing and training.
    Lead and support the planning, design, implementation and ongoing delivery of digital clinical systems and strategies.
    Drive awareness and promote adoption and use of digital health products, services and systems across BVAC.
    Work with the solution vendors to influence roadmaps, release management and deployment of change into Bupa care homes.
    Provide support escalation and Clinical systems subject matter expertise to the care homes and support office.
    Promotes nurses' leadership in design, implementation, and evaluation of digital health technologies that support nursing practice
    Community
    Proactively support the uplift of project delivery practices and participate in and contribute to Communities of Practice within Bupa
    To be successful in this role, you should have:
    Bachelor of Nursing degree
    Current AHPRA registration
    Demonstrated clinical experience in aged care sectors or wound management roles
    Experience working with clinical systems
    Research skills
    High level of Digital Literacy
    Substantial knowledge of aged care industry
    Substantial of knowledge of Aged Care regulatory requirements
    Planning and organisational skills
    Coaching and leadership skills
    Team leadership skills and ability to work interdependently in a challenging environment
    Strong communication and relationship management skills
    Project and Change Management skills

    Desirable:
    Relevant post graduate qualifications in wound management or related field.
