    Permanent - Full time 38 hours

    Salary: Band 4 - $67,100 – 72, % superannuation

    *Role includes an RDO

    We are looking for a seeking an enthusiastic and suitably qualified professional to join the Rates Team. Situated within Council's Finance Department, this role is responsible for numerous property and rating functions, including maintaining billing and property records, contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of billing systems and processes, and engaging with ratepayers in a positive manner.

    This is a great opportunity for someone to join the Rates Team and contribute towards continuous improvement initiatives withina progressive local government organisation.

    What you'll be working on

    • Maintaining key changes in the rating database whilst updating property records
    • Attending to the daily functions of collect ion of rat es, including financial file processing and maintaining of payment agreements.
    • Engaging with ratepayers to provide an environment that thrives on best practice and positive customer engagement.

    What you need to succeed

    • A self starter who has a high attention to detail.
    • Demonstrated understanding of the Local Government Act 1989 and Local Government Act 2020 and other relevant legislation.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of rating principles.
    • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to discuss, coordinate and resolve enquiries.
