We have an exciting permanent full-time opportunity for a pharmacist to join our supportive and collaborative team as a Clinical Hospital Pharmacist at Slade Pharmacy Port Augusta, located onsite at the Port Augusta Hospital.
This is a unique opportunity for a pharmacist looking to gain some hands-on clinical experience in a dynamic hospital setting.
At Slade Pharmacy Port Augusta, you'll partner with an expert team of local staff and doctors, and be responsible for delivering modern, patient-focused pharmacy services to patients.

Responsibilities
- Prepare Best Possible Medication History lists for hospital inpatients
- Conduct medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation
- Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products
- Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stay, day infusions and discharge
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients
- Support patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees
- Educate and advise staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and the proper use of medicines
Requirements
- Full general registration as a pharmacist in Australia (AHPRA) or New Zealand (PCNZ)
- Previous dispensing/clinical experience in an Australian or New Zealand based hospital or community pharmacy is essential
- Previous experience in a clinical setting (highly regarded)
- Have strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) (highly regarded)
- Possess effective time management, communication and teamwork skills
- Be flexible and adaptable, working with a diverse team
- Embrace change and commit to ongoing learning
- Value attention to detail and be able to work autonomously
