    About the Role

    Are you a driven journalist with a passion for breaking news that counts? Do you have strong curiosity and an original perspective that will engage local audiences? If you can generate compelling content and have a great contact book then ABC Newcastle want to hear from you.

    You must be ready to:

    • Create content for multiple platforms to engage local and national audiences.
    • Provide in-studio production support and manage talk-back callers and guests.
    • Contribute to the implementation of the Local Emergency Coverage plan.
    • Create local content that can be shared with other content teams across the ABC.
    • Cross promote other ABC content to increase audience engagement.

    • Able to source and analyse information and exercise sound judgement.
