The Opportunity
We are seeking an Engineering Production Worker to join our high-performing Production team at our purpose-built Epsom facility.
Reporting to the Works Supervisor, you will carry out a range of engineering and production duties aligned with your skills, competence and training. You will work from written and verbal instructions, operate machinery and contribute to the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
- Work from written and verbal instructions
- Operate designated machines, hand tools and power tools
- Use and maintain measuring equipment
- Operate cranes and lifting gear safely
- Ensure timely completion of production tasks
- Accurately record process times
- Perform fitting, machining and yard duties as required within classification
Quality
- Ensure products meet design specifications at every stage prior to progression
- Follow company procedures and standard operating processes
Maintenance
- Conduct routine maintenance on machines, hand tools and power tools.
- Maintain logbooks and report required actions promptly.
About You
You will bring to the role:
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Trade qualified and welding experience an advantage
- Good practical mechanical skills
- Ability to work under limited supervision.
- Strong understanding of quality control techniques.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- A strong commitment to completing quality work on time.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and dedication to safety.
- Willingness to further your education and skills with the support of Vossloh.
