    Job Description

    This role is responsible for assisting the kitchen team with daily operations, ensuring a high quality preparation and presentation of food is provided to guests dining in Coco's Kitchen + Bar. These daily operational duties include:

  • Preparation of mis en place
  • Presentation of food produced in line with kitchen recipes and standards
  • Maintenance of a clean and hygienic work environment
  • Maintenance of strict stock rotation ensuring minimum wastage
  • Ensuring safe food handling practices throughout the kitchen, as required by current food health and hygiene regulations.
  • Qualifications

    To be successful in this role you are required to have completed a recognized trade qualification, and to have previously worked in a kitchen with the focus on À la carte service. Additionally you will display the following characteristics:

  • Willing to work within a large kitchen team, with the flexibility to work on a rotating roster, with shifts at a variety of service times.
  • Demonstrate an adaptable approach to service to ensure guests have a great dining experience.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Well versed in all aspects of Food Hygiene, HACCP and OH&S to ensure safe working practices are followed within the kitchen.
