- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of systems to ensure high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and related outlets
- Plan menu preparation and ensuring adequate supplies are available for expected service
- Liaise with Restaurant employees regarding the availability of menu items, additions to the menu and any relevant changes
- Delegate duties and responsibilities to kitchen employees to ensure service demands are met
- Maintain presentation standards for all food whilst maintain recipe standards
- Ensure stock is ordered & rotated accordingly & minimum wastage. Must maintain strick stock control procedures
- Fulfil duties in the preparation & production of food as requested & delegate duties to other employees where fit
- Must ensure all working areas are clean & tidy, all equipment must be cleaned, serviced & maintained to OHS standards
- Must be willing to learn procedures and co-ordinate with head chef.
- Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in relevant field
- At least three (3) years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed
- At least three (3) years of prior experience as a Chef
- Prior experience in a Catering.
