    We're seeking an Architectural Team Leader to join our team in Worley's Australia East operations as we prepare for an upcoming retirement. As the leader, you'll have the opportunity to shape projects and foster growth within our team. Reporting to the Department Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering projects while nurturing talent and ensuring a supportive environment for all team members.

    The role:

    • Responsible for safe working practices both personally and in their designs
    • Grow the architectural business within Worley and external clients.
    • Ensure design work conforms to applicable specifications, codes and standards.
    • Ensure project scope, budgets and schedules for design and drafting work are effectively communicated and controlled on projects.
    • Control the allocation of design and drafting work in the architectural team.
    • Develop hour and cost estimates for design and drafting to enable accurate job costing
    • Mentoring and supervision of junior architects and drafting staff.
    • Liaise with Department Manager and lead Design coordinator on skills and software training requirements for the architectural team.

    About You

    • Proven experience in architecture, with a focus on industrial projects.
    • A knack for building strong client relationships and project rapport
    • Strong leadership abilities and a passion for driving team success
    • Proficiency in producing functional designs across various project types
    • Comprehensive knowledge of the National Construction Code and related regulations.
