    Job Description

    This is an amazing opportunity for a Research Fellow to play a significant role in implementing and assessing digital health technologies for child development nationwide in Australia. The Tracking Cube is a comprehensive solution designed to monitor child health and neurodevelopment in primary healthcare, equipped with digital tools to aid in screening, diagnosing, and supporting children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD, FASD, and ASD.

    The selected Research Fellow will play a key role in gathering and analyzing clinical data from an ongoing NHMRC trial that investigates the accuracy of rapid assessments in comparison to the comprehensive assessments utilized in the Tracking Cube. Additionally, they will assist in shaping the research outcomes for a newly funded NHMRC stepped-wedge cluster randomized controlled trial.

    Working closely with project managers, the Research Fellow will oversee the coordination of the trials, provide support in training staff on the Tracking Cube, and assist in data collection as required. Collaboration with a data scientist will involve organizing large datasets, analyzing data, interpreting clinical findings, and preparing results for publication in scientific journals.

    This position is a full-time, fixed-term role for 2 years, based at Griffith University's Gold Coast campus. Occasional work across other campus locations may be necessary, as Griffith University has multiple campuses across lands belonging to various indigenous peoples.

    Salary Range
    The base salary for a full-time Research Fellow Grade 2 ranges from $X to $Y per annum, plus 17% superannuation, leading to a total package of $Z to $W per annum.

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate for this role should possess a PhD degree in Health Sciences or a related field, along with equivalent qualifications or significant work experience.

    • Proficiency in conducting and interpreting child neurodevelopmental assessments.
    • 4-6 years of postdoctoral experience conducting collaborative, mixed-method research at the highest ethical standards.
    • Experience in clinical or implementation trials within real-world settings like healthcare, particularly with a focus on First Nations research.
    • Demonstrated skills in project management, interpersonal communication, problem-solving, writing, organization, and coordination.
    • Ability to work effectively with digital health technology.
