    • A07 level- $79.94- $85.60/hr + Super
    • 6 month contract with opportunity for extension

    The Organisation:
    Join a dynamic government agency committed to creating safe and positive outcomes for their customers. As the A07 Financial Accountant, you will be working in a diverse area that includes exposure to fee-for-service programs. You will be supporting several Directors to help them better understand the performance and results of their areas. This will be an incredible opportunity to gain exposure to a government department in a six-month temporary role. You will not be working excessive hours. This role is initially a temporary position for 6 months. There is a possibility this role will be extended.

    The Position:
    This role will ultimately require you to take ownership of the month-end activities. You will be responsible for:

    • End-of-month accounting processes including journals, bank reconciliations, and accruals
    • Financial delegations management
    • Disposal and acquisition of fixed assets

    Your Profile:
    This role will be an ideal opportunity if:

    • Your strong Excel skills will allow you to work with large volumes of data, particularly in managing a huge volume of the bank reconciliations
    • You enjoy being hands-on and have incredibly strong attention to detail.
    • You are used to working in large, complex organisations
    • It is advantageous but not critical that you are CPA/CA qualified
    • You should have very strong Excel skills and ERP systems experience, preferably SAP
