    Appointment Pool

    Beldon Education Support Centre (ESC) is seeking to establish a pool of Education Support Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2025. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2024 school year, up to the end of Term 2, 2025.

As a specialist primary school catering to students with special educational needs, we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.

    Beldon ESC is a purpose-built facility co-located alongside a mainstream school, catering for students with disabilities ranging from mild to high needs.     Ideally, suitable applicants will be incredibly passionate, thoughtful, and patient Special Needs Teacher who want to succeed in a team-friendly environment and inspire students in their educational journey.

    Suitable applicants will ideally be organised, committed, and have a broad range of teaching skills across kindergarten to year 6, which could include evidence-based programs such as: Applied Behaviour Analysis, TEACCH, Direct Instruction and implementation of explicit and comprehensive teaching and learning strategies for individual students. You should also have a sound working knowledge of Information Computer Technology (ICT), assistive technology and the ability to integrate it across all learning areas. In addition to these, you should also have a commitment to engage in professional learning with the emphasis on working collaboratively to implement new learning.

    At Beldon ESC the ability to establish genuine, positive, and caring relationships with our students and families is paramount. The successful applicant will ideally embed a proactive and inclusive approach which includes individualised planning. The consistent application of low-key classroom management strategies aligned to Positive Behaviour Support and outstanding delivery of pastoral care which supports the health and wellbeing of all our students should also be embedded in your practice.     Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.
