    Kalamunda Secondary Education Support Centre (KSESC) is seeking to employ a highly motivated and proactive Marketing and Administrative Officer to join their team.

    The role of the Marketing and Administrative Officer is to provide operational support in developing, implementing and managing the school's marketing plan and develop a range of school communications, publications and materials to support communication and marketing activities and events. In addition to coordinating events and marketing activities, the role will require liaising with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain effective working relationships and community networks to support school objectives. You will also be assisting in managing and coordinating daily administrative operations, including maintaining relevant business information systems including workplace learning. The successful applicant will ideally be proactive with excellent communication and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment, particularly within the Executive Team.

    KSESC is a school for students with mild to severe intellectual disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder, psychological disorders and physical disabilities. The diversity of disability, combined with the specific learning needs of individuals, creates a dynamic and complex learning environment in which staff work collaboratively to provide a positive learning environment for the school community.

    This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

    To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):

  • Experience in assisting with coordination of events and marketing activities and associated financial management and budgeting requirements.
  • Initiative and organisational skills, including the ability to work with minimum supervision to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Sound conceptual, analytical and research skills, including the ability to identify appropriate solutions.
  • Well-developed computer application skills.
