    Skillset required:
    • Manual handling
    • Hoist (stand up, ceiling, lifters)
    • Knowledge and experience with Parkinson's Disease, Centre Cord Syndrome, and Stroke
    • Experience with challenging behaviors.

    Mandatory Requirements:
    • First Aid and CPR certificate.
    • NDIS Worker Screening Check
    • Manual Handling certificate.
    • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
    • Valid Driver's License and comprehensive car insurance.

    The shifts may include:
    • Personal care
    • Community access (transport to appointments and/or shopping)
    • Social Support
    • Meal preparation and medication assistance
    • General domestic tasks

    Required qualities:
    • Professional approach.
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
    • Display a commitment to the Mission, Vision, and Values of AHS.
    • Ensure that the AHS Code of Conduct is adhered to at all times.
    • Ensure that all policies, procedures, and work practices are adhered to at all times.
    • Proven ability to work in a team environment and build collaborative relationships.
    • Ability to multi-task and work flexibly in responding to various needs of the customer.
    • Proven ability in case of management or in undertaking GP management plans.
    • Ability to plan, prioritize & manage day-to-day activities in an efficient manner.

    Skills & competencies:
    • Has experience and knowledge using hoists.
    • Certificate III in Individual Support or its equivalent is highly desirable.
    • Ability to follow an individualized plan to provide person-centered support.
    • Experience with high-intensity care is highly desirable.
