    The Enterprise & Business IT Delivery department is responsible for managing the delivery of key Business initiatives from across the business including EB, Core and other Strategic programs.

    This position of End-to-End Business Analyst is accountable for driving strong leadership and a high level of engagement within their Business Analytics team & Core Teams. This role will take accountability efficiency and quality of customer experience, brand and User experience frameworks with programs, business requirements gathering, management and verification work within a program. With key activities are scope definition, detailed business requirements, managing change requirements, assessing alternative solutions, defining customer experience impacts, testing and business continuity planning, this role is critical within Optus.

    • Provide leadership to capture and prioritise weighted high level business objectives.
    • Capture End to End Business requirements: work-shopping collaboratively to define user stories and use cases with business requirements, and testing these requirements with end user focus groups – either internal or external; and recommending direction to the business based on the cost/benefits trade-offs as this is done.
    • Perform requirements traceability through mapping of business requirements to user stories, supervising the evolving solution design and clarifying or asserting the Business need to be fulfilled in the solution with internal or external parties
    • Manage change to requirements within programs; ensuring impact analysis is complete by other program members.
    • Guide the customer towards accepting viable and valid solutions and ensuring final solution supports the stated Business benefits, both functionally and unguided user acceptance testing via user focus groups.
    • Support E2E Testing; Test Strategy; support functional and usability test case development and incident impact analysis.
    • Assure application of relevant standards (regulatory, legislative, internal and operational); and that these standards are reflected in their requirements results on the programs they're working on.

    It starts with you

    • Tertiary qualifications in IT or business related field or relevant IT/Business experience.
    • Experience as a Business Analyst developing requirements that impact multiple systems and functional areas.
    • Experience in facilitating meetings and workshops to achieve an outcome based on the agenda provided.
    • Practical knowledge of a variety of Business Analysis tools and techniques.
    • Detailed understanding of the complete project management lifecycle and solution design.
    • Strong commercial competence, including development of business relationships resulting in the delivery of efficient solutions.
    • Exposure to the capture and transfer of relevant knowledge within a BA practice resourcing environment.
    • Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail and ability to present to a wide variety of audience.
