    Solicitor Opportunity

    Full-time, Permanent – 36.25 hours per week

    $90,985.68 to $94,947.74 Annually + up to 12% super

    RCC Officers' Level 5

    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Solicitor to join our team as a professional advisor and legal services provider to Council officers.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide high-quality legal research, support, and advice to internal customers across various aspects of local government activities and responsibilities.
    • Prepare legal documents, briefs, and updates, and conduct due diligence as required.
    • Support organisational projects and teams to achieve effective outcomes and productive working relationships.

    Requirements

    • Previous experience in undertaking legal research and business support within a legal context, particularly in government, environment, contracts, land use, and town planning.
    • Demonstrated experience and computer skills to prepare legal documentation, including court documents, contracts, and reports.
    • High-level understanding of policies, delegations, business systems, and processes in multi-disciplinary teams, especially within a legal context.
