Are you a skilled Registered Scrub Scout Nurse who is dedicated to playing a significant role within a supportive team to ensure top-notch patient care?

We are on the lookout for an experienced Registered Nurse - Scrub Scout to become part of our Perioperative Team on a full-time basis.

As a Perioperative Registered Nurse - Scrub Scout, your key responsibilities will include:

• Provide peri-operative nursing care in line with regulations
• Administer evidence-based nursing care
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team
• Ensure the safety of patients and staff
• Supervise, lead, and mentor nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and AINs to deliver patient care (RN only)
• Proactively evaluate the nursing care provided during operations to achieve optimal outcomes
• Thoroughly and efficiently document into the patient's medical record using accepted abbreviations and terms

The hospital currently houses 145 beds, including a 4-bed HDU and 5 theatres.
The upcoming expansion includes an increase in Mental health beds, growth of 4 theatres, and 34 beds with additional consulting suites.

About You

• Current Registration with AHPRA
• Minimum of 18 months' experience as an RN – Scrub Scout
• Working with Children check (if applicable)
• Dedication to Quality Patient Care
• Adherence to ACQSHC National standards
• Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills
• Effective in both independent and team environments
• Basic computer proficiency
