    We are currently looking to appoint a Supervisor for the Load & Haul Department at our Woodie Operation, situated 407kms south - east of Port Hedland in the Pilbara.

    Reporting to the Superintendent, the successful applicant will be required:

    • Maintaining a safe system of work by promoting and demonstrating safe work practises for all tasks and ensuring safety compliance.
    • Accountable for the safe delivery of Production from the weekly plan through to the 3-month mining plan.
    • Identifying and analysing Load and Haul equipment utilisation to maximise mining efficiencies to meet budget forecast.
    • Delivering close effective supervision of mining activities aligned with the daily shift plan.
    • Daily reconciliation of Load and Haul data for reporting purposes.
    • Engage in project work to optimize mining efficiencies on an as is needs basis.
    • Identify manning requirements through the labour budgeting process, participate in interviewing and the selection processes to build the capacity within the Load & Haul team.
    • Manage the performance of direct reports through the setting of key performance indicators (KPIs), training and development opportunities, succession plans and appropriate performance management.
    • Communicating effectively with other department personnel to meet production and safety goals.

    Requirements to be successful in this role are:

    • Previous supervisory experience in the open pit production mining environment essential.
    • Extensive experience managing employee relations, leadership coaching, technical coaching, managing personnel against KPI's and company values.
    • Strong commitment to following health, safety and environment policies and procedures.
    • High level of time management and organisational skills.
    • High level of computer literacy, particularly MS office suite.
