    Electrical Superintendent

    Overview:

    Randstad is currently working with a global renewable energy leader looking for a dedicated and experienced Electrical Superintendent to join their dynamic team. My client is committed to delivering innovative and reliable solutions for a cleaner future and currently working on a one-of-a-kind project in the coast of NSW.     Position:

    As the Superintend you will bring strong electrical installation and commissioning experience. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects on-site, adhering to safety standards, timelines, and quality requirements.

    Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Coordination:
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans for nstallation projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to identify potential issues and propose solutions.
  • On-site Supervision:
  • Oversee all electrical installation activities related to systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the installation team, resolving technical challenges as they arise.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety performance.
  • Quality Assurance and Testing:
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure that installations meet project specifications and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with testing and commissioning teams to verify the performance and functionality of components.
  • Address any deficiencies or non-conformities identified during testing, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Safety Management:
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on-site, promoting a culture of safety among all project personnel.
  • Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
  • Investigate and report any safety incidents or near misses, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Client Communication:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client representatives and stakeholders, providing regular project updates and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
  • Collaborate with clients to resolve technical issues, manage change requests, and ensure overall satisfaction with project deliverables. Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in electrical project management, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
  • Electrician License
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, including AC/DC power distribution, battery technologies, inverters, and control systems.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage project teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD).
