    About the program

    The Family Preservation WSNBM program provides targeted support to vulnerable families to prevent children and young people (0 to years old) from escalating into the child-protection or Out of Home Care system.

    What you'll do

  • We are looking for an outstanding Team Leader who is conscientious, reliable and motivated about making a difference. As a Team Leader you will be leading a team of exceptional professionals who practise within an evidenced based framework. We are seeking a Team Leader who can apply their skills in leading a team working in the complex child protection area. Although this will be your focus, your team will have to work with all members of the family unit.
  • Work within the service provision guidelines and Wesley Family Preservation's Foundations for Change Framework by maintaining a focus on child wellbeing outcomes which are managed through mandatory reporter guidelines and effective safety planning with the family.

    All staff at Family Preservation WSNBM work hard to develop and maintain harmonious working relationships in an autonomous-supportive work environment where they are all trained to be the best in their field. Wesley Mission provides regular supervision, support and training for all staff.

    Who you are

  • tertiary qualifications in social work or equivalent
  • experience of working within a community services and / or child and family social work environment at an operational management level
  • demonstrated experience in people management and leadership
  • demonstrated commitment to child focused practice, that involves the identification and analysis of safety and wellbeing concerns for children and young people
  • supportive, tactful and empathetic nature with the ability to make clear judgements that promotes the rights, interests and wellbeing of children and young people
  • culturally competent with experience working alongside CALD and Aboriginal families
  • experience in SafeCare delivery, or other parenting programs
  • NSW driver's licence
  • current Working with Children's Check (WWCC).

    • Remuneration

    Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award, Level 6.
