    About the role:

    Our Credit & Portfolio Management ("CPM") team are seeking an Analyst to join us for up to 10 months (Fixed Term Contract) across our offices in Australia and New Zealand.

    In your role as an Analyst you will support CPM as we undertake credit assessment and risk grading for our customer base, among other important customer related tasks and activities.

    CPM sits inside our Global Corporate business, and delivers high quality credit and returns and assessments of our customers in accordance with the Bank's internal procedures.

    What you'll be doing:

    The Analyst will be responsible for supporting credit analysis across a portfolio of clients with a focus on credit quality monitoring and risk grading:

  • Supporting the process of our annual credit reviews and internal rating reviews
  • Financial analysis and modelling
  • Covenant compliance monitoring
  • Coordinating within the MUFG network
  • Any other required tasks in accordance with the Bank's policies and procedures and required to support the broader business
  • What we are looking for:

  • 2+ years' experience in a major domestic or international bank or chartered accounting firmCandidates from credit rating agencies, investment banks, investment management firms clearly also have relevant skills and are likely to be considered
  • Undergraduate Business / Commerce / Law Degree from a leading university is essentialMasters of Finance, MBA or CFA will be considered favourably
  • Proficiency in the full suite of core Microsoft products, and will be strong in financial modelling
  • Possess an understanding of financial and economic markets
  • Experience in: (a) credit writing; (b) financial analysis and modelling; and (c) legal documentation and debt structuring
  • Be able to engage in independent research & analysis of customers and markets and apply critical thinking and a high level of attention to detail
  • The ability to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally
  • Has strong interpersonal and presentations skills
  • Is a team player
  • Is a self-starter who applies initiative and has drive and enthusiasm
  • Has an analytical mindset and problem solving skills
  • Has the ability to work independently and prioritise a number of tasks across various work streams and alongside a number of stakeholders
