- Prepare, lead and oversee the month-end accounting close for the APAC entities
- Validate month-end account balances through detailed review of account reconciliations and journal entries
- Analyze income statement and balance sheet account fluctuations
- Support income, indirect and other various tax processes, including working with 3rd parties on assessments and other projects
- Manage banking relationships and review and approval of payments
- Ownership of statutory audits where required, including managing requests and communication with various external service providers, auditors and tax advisors
- Provide leading practice improvements to existing processes
- Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to the business as new initiatives and projects arise
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years in a financial accounting role
- Familiarity with month-end close processes
- Knowledge of Local and International taxes and regulations (AU/NZ BAS, GST, PAYG, Payroll taxes, Worcover etc)
- Strong understanding of accounting for international entities, including statutory requirements
- CPA, CA, or equivalent professional certification
- Public accounting experience
- Experience with SAP, FloQast, Auditboard, Alteryx, UiPath and/or Tableau
- Attention to detail with high level of ethics and integrity
- Takes ownership of areas of responsibility, proactive, self-motivated
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams across different regions
- Strong leadership skills with an emphasis on leading teams in a remote environment
