    Undertake Certificate III in Pathology Collection Traineeship

    Austin Pathology is looking for an applicant in Shepparton or Surrounds to undertake a 3 month paid Pathology Collection Traineeship.

    Full Time (38hrs P/W) over a 3 month period. Potential casual relief work may be available upon successful completion of course.

    We are looking for an enthisiastic person who is interested in developing a career with Austin Pathology to undertake a Certificate III in Pathology.

    The successful applicant must have:

    • A Kind, Empathetic nature
    • Have a strong desire to work within the health field
    • Ability to work on roster once qualified, including weekends
    • Moderate Computer skills/Access to own computer

    About the role

    We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. You will learn key technical skills of phlebotomy and responsibilities including, but not be limited to, the following:

    • Enrolment in Pathology Collection Certificate III
    • Undertake online course work completing, completing 3xunits per week
    • Trained to collect Pathology samples from patients (blood and non-blood specimens) in an outpatient centre
    • Keep meticulous records for every patient and sample
    • Prepare and package specimens for transport and testing
