    Description

    Role Description

    • Provide appropriate advice and guidance on HR matters at all levels to maximize the performance of the department and its people resource across all stages of the employee lifecycle.
    • Implement a range of HR policies, procedures, and processes across recruitment and onboarding, learning & development, staff movements, establishment, leave, payroll, and OHS to support effective people management practices that comply with organizational and legislative requirements.
    • Manage end-to-end recruitment; support labour hire management: High quality of cycle recruitment services, liaising with internal and external stakeholders including agencies to source/recruit contractors and SDS staff and candidates for job vacancies.
    • Deliver a range of administrative and support services including records management, HR correspondence, meeting and event management, and project documentation to support the effective operation of the HR function and project delivery.
    • Source and compile a range of HR information across all HR projects and prepare documentation to communicate HR information and inform decision making.
    • Identify and analyse emerging issues, trends, statistics, and information relating to employee lifecycle activities to inform effective decision making, including preparing reports, submissions, and information.
    • Update and maintain HR records and databases, complying with administrative systems and processes, to ensure that all information is current, accurate, accessible, and stored correctly.
    • Identify, analyse, and recommend continuous improvement in HR and coordinate the delivery of projects to improve the delivery of HR initiatives and services.
    • Ad-hoc duties as required.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Understanding of systems and processes of work developed and established across all HR functions.
    • Sound, authoritative advice and support provided in a timely manner across the department for human resource management matters.
    • Ability to process and prepare supporting documentary evidence of the progress and performance on people, culture, and HR matters are in place.
    • Compliance with relevant legislation and statutory reporting requirements.
    • Bachelor's degree in human resources or equivalent experience.


    EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience as HR.


    SKILLS:

    • Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
    • Previous experience in logistics.
