    Ship's Master / Marine Superintendent / Port Captain MOL Shipping (Australia) Pty Ltd, the subsidiary of Mitsui O.

    K Lines Ltd., a global shipping company, are currently looking for a Marine Superintendent/ Port Captain with 3+ years experience on board as Master.

    We are looking for an individual who will fit within our Western Australia (based primarily in Karratha) team, reporting to our offices in Tokyo and Singapore.


    General Duties:

    Ensure the safe and timely delivery of the customer's cargo in line with KPIEnsure the smooth and safe operation of dry bulk vessels in and out of Western Australian Ports Communicating and Co-ordinating with stevedoring companies, Port Authority, and other Port operators Gathering the relevant information in Western Australian Ports, which will contribute towards improvements for MOL's safe operation of dry bulk vessel Feed back the relevant information relating to safety operations to MOL head office (Tokyo), MOLAU, and other regional offices to enhance MOL's safe operation policy and manuals.

    Visit the vessel as MOL's marine representative, when it calls at Western Australian Port to check/monitor the vessel's condition and educate the vessel's crew about the vessel quality improvement measures.

    Attend the relevant marine safety seminar which are held in Australia.

    The ideal candidate will need to have the relevant skills to build and develop a network with maritime professionals in Australia.

    This network will be utilized to promote the growth of MOL within Australia and furthermore overseas.

    Qualifications Required:

    • Must have the ability to understand customer needs and make reasonable decisions/negotiations to resolve issues.
    • High adaptability (local, people, new missions).
    • Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to time manage completing priorities
    • Flexible thinking and responsiveness.
    • Must be qualified as a First Grade Marine Officer
    • Must be well experienced with the rules of the port of Western Australia, specifically Port Hedland, Dampier, and Port Walcott.
