    Heavy Diesel Fitters

    Work Location:

    Fortescue's Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

    Roster:

    7D7N14R – FIFO ex. Perth, Busselton, and Karratha

    You will be required to carry out the safe execution of scheduled maintenance and repair to a range of large-scale mining equipment supporting Fortescue's mining operations. You will be responsible for carrying out repairs and inspections on mining fleet with particular focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

    We are looking for HD Fitters with experience maintaing the following equipment;

    CAT Trucks, Dozers, Loaders and Graders
    CAT & Hitachi Excavators

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain equipment in accordance with the manufacture's (OEM) specifications and Fortescue's procedures.
    • Identify when maintenance consumables and supplies are to be ordered to ensure the continuous operation of the fleet.
    • Attend and actively participate in toolbox & safety meetings to ensure safe work compliance and identify deficiencies and action plans.
    • Maintain & operate vehicles, tools and equipment to company standards.
    • Ensure the SAP/FMG work management process is followed.
    • Ensure accurate, efficient and effective information is entered into SAP, including Notifications, work orders and time confirmations.
    • Assist with Improvement initiatives, that positively affects fleet performance.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Trade Certificate as an HD Mechanic
    • Hold a current C class license (HR preferable)
    • High level of safety awareness and orientation
    • Ability to work well in a team and unsupervised.
    • Experience with OEM diagnostic tooling
    • Experience using suite of Microsoft programs.
