    ICY-AMHWS Youth Early Intervention Mental Health Clinician

    Closing Date: 28/01/2025 Brief Description You are invited to join our multidisciplinary team of experienced mental health clinicians as a valued member of the Infant Child Youth Area Mental Health Wellbeing Service. The role will involve evidence-based mental health care practice in assessment, formulation and individualized recovery planning, and multi-model therapeutic treatment that is consistent with standards outlined for consumers with severe mental health difficulties.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Undertake comprehensive assessments and formulate individualized recovery plans for young people and families/carers presenting with complex mental health needs.
    • Provide evidence-based mental health interventions using cognitive behaviour therapy, family focused therapy and other therapies as indicated.
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with service users, carers and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality services are delivered in a timely manner.
    • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve shared goals and objectives.

    Requirements:

    • Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse or Endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist.
    • Post graduate qualifications in Mental Health Nursing or specialist post basic course of training which led to registration as a Div 3 Mental Health Nurse.
    • Demonstrated ability and experience in working with and engaging young people and families/carers with complex presentations.
    • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills including a demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.

    Mental Health Services at Albury Wodonga Health:

    AWH is an Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service, providing mental health treatment, care and support, including delivering Alcohol and Other Drugs services. We deliver 10 specialised community-based programs, along with three acute care services and three facilities dedicated to recovery and rehabilitation. We also provide services supporting families coping with parental mental illness and facilitating connections to carer consultants.
