    The Role:

    • Grade 3 Acute Allied Health Assistant - Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy
    • Fixed Term, Part Time (45.6 hours/fortnight) until 18/03/2025.

    An exciting opportunity exists for enthusiastic Allied Health Assistant (AHA) - Grade 3 to join the team at Northern Health.

    The role is to provide quality patient care under the supervision of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists within the inpatient team at Northern Hospital Epping. It also involves carrying out patient related support activities that promote patient centre care, improve patient flow, and facilitate efficient and effective discharges. The role will include the provision of individual therapy to inpatients and may include group-based therapy. The role will also include undertaking cleaning and maintenance of assistive equipment.

    To be successful in this role you will have:

    • Clinical experience working in an inpatient setting
    • Experience working under the direction of a Physiotherapist and or Occupational Therapist
    • Demonstrated teamwork and appreciation of multidisciplinary practice
    • Understanding of the roles and contributions of different disciplines to patient care and discharge planning
    • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Possesses self-management skills with an ability to meet timelines and prioritise competing demands
