- Providing technical leadership for projects relating to data platform solutions, information management and projects with a high amount of data related capabilities to be architected.
- Consult on and develop solution architecture solution built on data platforms and the architecture of the data platform itself.
- Build reference architectures for data platform capabilities.
- Architect & design modern data platforms, data streams and data service API's.
- Champion the transition from a monolithic batch-based data architecture towards a domain-centric and micro-services-based architecture.
- Provide expert technology advice and guidance to General Managers and Business Unit/GroupTech Group Executive within a portfolio/domain to assist the business in the formulation of business strategy and technology investment decisions.
- Provide leadership vision to team on Enterprise Architecture strategy, creating clear line of sight and accountability, maximising employee performance and engagement.
- Extensive architecture experience in IT Industry/financial services or business consulting/strategic planning.
- Experience across multiple architecture domains, including the implementation of architecture in large organisations required to ensure balanced solutions.
- Knowledge and experience of Financial Crime Domain capabilities, such as AML, Sanctions, Transaction Monitoring.
- Proven results in delivering major business solutions into production within multiple project teams.
- Knowledge and understanding of the following architectural paradigms; micro-services, domain and event driven architectures.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture disciplines and frameworks (e.g. TOGAF)
- Exposure of Data Ops (DevOps) on native cloud data platform (PaaS services) and or containerisation over either Azure or AWS.
- Strong skills in communication with Senior stakeholders in all roles both inside and outside technology teams.
